Save the Date! National Dog Party Day is June 21st!

Let's Celebrate!

Your pets love to have fun,  so why not make it a party!!! Call some of your friends and invite them over with their fur babies.  since this "holiday" is during the summer, a pool party theme is a fun way to celebrate.  A little splash pad for the pets to play in. and some Ice cream is always a win during the summer!!

First, get decorations for the party

Set the scene with party colors like rose gold.. There are some cute balloon decorations that are perfect for a party, check this one out here.

make sure the whole scene matches, with coordinating plates, napkins and cups.

Next...Accessorize

Coordinate the whole theme with matching accessories. for your pup.  A dress with a matching collar is perfect for the occasion!

Games are a must for a fun party

keep your friends and dogs entertained with some games. Since it will be hot, a splash pad is a fun way to keep the dogs cooled off, and play together.

Another option is to have a cool gadget that throws balls automatically for the dogs.  THis is a win to wear out the more energetic dogs.

now get some food ...

For the humans, standard bbq food is easy to plan. There are some grillable foods that are fine for dogs to eat as well as humans.

  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Hot dogs
  • ZUCHINNI
  • WATERMELON

a party is not complete without some CAKE! Here you can get some dog-approved Cookie cake. .

keep in mind a few things when it comes to food and dogs.

  • some dogs can be food aggressive, so you may have to separate dogs when feeding the group.
  • feeding dogs from the human table can encourage bad behavior, so consider feeding the dogs in a designated area after they have obeyed a command.
  • dogs may get an upset stomach after eating food they are not accustomed to. because of this you should feed them in moderation, and limit any fatty foods like hamburgers or steak
