Fleas are a dogs worst enemy, and yours too as a pet owner.  Some dogs are highly allergic to fleas, and they will scratch their coat off and cause secondary skin infections. It is important if you notice excessive scratching, to check your pet for these buggers, so you can get rid of them quickly. Not addressing the problem promptly will allow the fleas to reproduce and become a bigger problem for your home.

Make sure you start preparing for flea season at the beginning of spring.  Treat both your yard and pets.

If you prefer the organic option, below is a product that uses Peppermint oil and Eugenol oil to kill fleas, ticks and mosquitos.

The next option is the more common option, which is administered by placing drops on the nape of the dog's neck. Before purchasing this type of spot on treatment, make sure it is for the correct weight.
