Keeping your pet Warm
Now that the cold weather is here, it is important to make sure your pet has the winter clothing for when they go outside. Whether your pup is going outside for a quick potty break, or to go play in the snow outside make sure they are bundled and warm. When the temperatures get cold, I always recommend a sweater or a thick jacket for your pet. Of course, breeds like Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and Saint Bernard's love the cold temperatures and probably do not need the coats and sweaters depending on how cold it is where you are located. Marking sure you have the right fitting of clothing for your pet is always important. Always purchase clothes that considers both your dog's measurements and weight.
Warmth
The sweater below is a light weight chenille sweater.. This is perfect for cold weather.
Wind Breaker
When there is snow outside, something more rugged is needed. Preferably has wind proofing to help with the frigid air. While definitely not as stylish as the chenille sweater, it will certainly keep your pup warm in the snow!
Snow Protection
On the topic of snow, don't forget about booties. While most dogs hate them, they do protect your pups paws, especially if you are in an area that salts the ground. Your dog will thank you that their paws are not stinging from the salt.
If your dog absolutely refuses to wear booties, a wax is also an option. However, since it is a wax you have to wipe their paws every time you come in, so it doesn't damage your floors or furniture.
